4-AXIS WIRE EDM
As we stated before, one of the advantages we offer at The Wire Shop Is 4-axis Wire EDM. In the illustration below, the red color is the top profile. The green is the bottom profile. The yellow lines represent the relation between the two.
What may be hard to discern, is that the taper is not constant all around the top profile. Therefore, 4-axis cutting is needed to produce the desired shapes and tapers. As you can see below, the top profile and the bottom profile are different.
