COMPOUND DIE

     The Wire Shop Inc. also has a wide variety of experience with compound dies. Unlike a progressive die, a compound die allows you to get your completed blank in one station. This allows you to get a smaller die that saves you from needing extra operations for piercing and the like.

  

     As these photos show, The Wire Shop has the ability to do simple shapes for a compound die and more intricate and detailed. The 2 disks above were done in a compound die. The pictures below are detailed areas of the o.d. and i.d. of the parts shown above. The dime allows you to get a perspective on the size of the notches.
