PRE-NOTCH DIE

   The Wire Shop can also build pre-notch dies to meet your specific needs. We design our pre-notch dies to go along with your rollforming applications. By using gags in the tooling, we are able to allow you to make many different parts out of the same pre-notch die.

 

 

  

 

   Both pieces below came off of the same pre-notch die. You can see that the hole patterns differ on the two parts. This is accomplished by the program that runs the gags in the pre-notch operation. By building the die with all the necessary punches and using the gags to vary the hole configurations, costly change over time is avoided. A simple change in the program that controls the gags, and you are back up and running with out having to tear down and reset-up the tooling.
